Behavior of Lice

Lice are also called "cooties". Lice can easily be transferred from one person to another by merely crawling to other person's head when sleeping or simply lying on the bed with heads close to each other. Lice settlements are so very little that gives hard time looking for them. They cannot burrow the eggs into the scalp. It is very hard to see the lice because they are so small and they move very fast in their own atmosphere but they can be seen using a ordinary magnifying glass and with the help of a bright light.

There are three subdivisions of the human head lice called mitochondrial clades, Clades A, B, and C. There had been at least an epidemic of lice in 80 of the elementary schools in the United States. Most likely head lice exist only when a person gets in close contact with another individual. The National Health Service in the U.
